On October 14, 2025, the "Scents, Coffee, and Guqin: A Cultural Journey Blending Eastern and Western Arts" event, co-hosted by the College of International Exchange of Shenzhen University and the Art Exhibition Center, was successfully held. Twenty-five international students from multiple countries gathered at the Luohu Art Exhibition Center, embarking on an immersive cross-cultural experience that engaged multiple senses.

The international students visited multiple distinctive art spaces at the Art Exhibition Center. The venue brings together exquisite home décor and art collections from around the world, with its uniquely crafted rosewood furniture and thoughtfully designed artistic displays frequently captivating the students and drawing their admiration. "Every corner here is full of surprises," shared Emily from France. "I truly wish I had more time to appreciate each piece slowly." It is reported that the center is not only a beloved art space among local residents but also a creative hub where Chinese and international designers seek inspiration.

At the Vangu Coffee Aesthetics Space, the international students had a hands-on experience in creating incense plaques, an intangible cultural heritage. From kneading the incense paste to molding it into shape, everyone focused intently on crafting their own unique incense plaques, immersing themselves in the distinctive charm of this traditional craft amid the lingering fragrance of agarwood.

Following the incense plaque activity, an immersive experience blending coffee and the guqin unfolded. As the specially crafted "Green Phantom" pour-over coffee met the serene melodies of "A Pleasant Night" and "Flowing Water," Eastern and Western cultures merged in perfect harmony. The students quietly appreciated the moment, exchanged soft whispers, and captured memories of this unforgettable experience with their cameras.

Through the three distinct art forms of incense art, coffee, and the guqin, this event engaged international students with a multi-sensory experience encompassing touch, taste, and hearing. The immersive activities broadened their artistic horizons and built a bridge for cross-cultural understanding. On this East-meets-West journey, young people from around the world collectively wove a beautiful memory of culture and art.
